Lynn Isaacs notes

There is more to Swansea Motor Club's involvement in racing in the early years than just at Pendine as you can see from www.sandspeedwales.co.uk

e.g.They were involved in the planning & races results committee etc of the Penllergaer Home Farm Speedway circuit in 1931

The Fairy Hill 1924 has mention & pic of George Gregor on the machine he used plus the Charles Trial Pic shown at base of Townhill before there were houses there.

Oxwich events with programmes club data & pics from 1926 to 1931 are in there.

Broughton Bay 1927 & Llanmadoc 1937 similarly. (Also in the 1937 page which covers TT wins of Jack Daniels in IoM & Eppynt in 1948 with pics)

Plus the Fairwood 1952/4 events.

These as u will see on each of the relevant Programmes shown online were organised by Swansea Motor Club., along with the 1966 Crofty Grass Track which I rode in as Welsh Champion plus won both of my races

Swansea were also heavily involved in the Aberavon events from 1929 to 50/51 this also is in the site.

Swansea Motor Club again was involved in the Cefn Sidan 1927 events. (early & late season results pics etc)

All relevant Swansea club facts and visitors can make use of the well researched facts & pics on www.sandspeedwales.co.uk

The www.silverdragons.co.uk site covers the 1948 TT at Eppynt but be advised a number of other Swansea riders competed, several are still alive.

If you go to www.speedtracktales.co.uk and the ISDT 1937 page you will see the Welsh ISDT team with Gordon Bennett a Swansea Clubman when the Swastika flew alongside the Red Dragon & others. A 139 man German contingent rode thru Wales in Grey Whermacht leathers, Brown Storm troopers leathers and Black Gestapo & SS leathers. Their entrants' provenance was noted in the official programme.
